The board is refreshed at about 05:00, 13:00 and 20:00 Ghana time. It is a snapshot, not a live radar: a flight shown as "in the air" may already have landed. All times are Ghana time (GMT). Codeshare duplicates are hidden, so each flight appears once under the airline that operates it. For the latest status on the day, check the operating airline's website or app.

What the status means

  • Expected The flight is scheduled and has not yet taken off, or no departure has been reported.
  • In the air The aircraft has departed and is on its way to Accra.
  • Landed The aircraft is on the ground. Passengers usually reach the arrivals hall 45 to 90 minutes later, after immigration, baggage and customs.
  • Cancelled The flight will not operate. Passengers are rebooked by the airline.
  • Diverted The aircraft has landed somewhere else, often Lomé or Abidjan, for weather or technical reasons.

Meeting someone at Accra International Airport

  • International arrivals come into Terminal 3. Domestic flights from Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi and elsewhere arrive at a separate terminal, so make sure you wait in the right place.
  • Do not rush to the airport at the landing time. Immigration, baggage and customs often take an hour, sometimes more when several long-haul flights land together in the early morning.
  • Waiting area. Only passengers are allowed inside the arrivals hall. Meeters wait outside the exit, so bring water and patience.
  • Parking and pickup. Short-term parking is close to Terminal 3. Uber and Bolt drivers have their own pickup points; agree on the exact spot by phone.
  • Early-morning arrivals. Many European and American flights land between 04:00 and 07:00. Roads are empty then, but plan the night ahead.
  • Delayed or cancelled? Ask your passenger to message you from the aircraft, or check the airline's app. This board updates only three times a day.
